Santa Barbara Wine Tasting

A couple of weeks ago we made it up to Santa Barbara to sample the local wines. We visited Buttonwood, Beckman and Curtis. I think that Buttonwood was my favorite. They had some very nice Savignon Blancs. We bought a few bottles there for tasting again on Easter. Our next stop had us tasting the wines at Beckman. I didn't think that the wines there were as good as I remembered them to be. It could be my case of geographic tongue that is causing inacurrate tastes.
Curtis was interesting. We met a couple younger guys from Arlington, VA. They had been traveling across the country in an RV. After the tasting room closed we were invited to hang out in their RV. They had beers and photos to share with us. It was kind of surreal to sit in the RV listening to Bob Marley and drinking ultra-cheap beer in a Santa Barbara vineyard.
Our last stop was at the Firestone Taproom. We got a tasty meal and drink some big boy beers there.

Katie, thanks for driving.

Check out the photos from the day here.

Good times.
